This is a massive achievement for any club at any level whether it be the Premiership or the Combined Counties League and so everyone that has been involved are to be congratulated. Terry Eames, Nicky English and Dave Anderson, their coaches, backroom staff and all the players have worked hard and it has paid off. How long will this record stand? I don't know, it may be a short time like it was with St Blazey or it could stand for ever. But however long it stands AFC Wimbledon can be proud of what we have done. For a few days we will get a certain amount of publicity for it and then it will be forgotten by most people and the next time some asks what the unbeaten record is they will automatically say Arsenal and 49. But we all know who holds the record and we should take every opportunity to remind them. A couple of weeks ago I contacted the Guinness Book of Records when we equalled the record and I am waiting for a reply, unfortunately it takes a while. I look forward to hearing from them.
